Latest leaked live images once again show off a dual curved-edge screen for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2
With the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus already unveiled and launched, eyes are already firmly focused on the manufacturer's next high-end device. That would be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Previously leaked live images revealed that the Mi Note 2 would carry a dual-curved edge screen. But that was back in August. We are now in October, and the phone is expected to launch next month. So what does the latest leak reveal?

Published on Weibo, we are happy to note (did we intend that pun?) that these live photos also show the dual-curved edge screen spotted on the previously leaked live image of the handset. We could see a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution, employing Force Touch. Under the hood you'll find the Snapdragon 821 SoC with a quad-core 2.4GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB/8GB of RAM is inside with 128GB/256GB of flash memory.

A dual-camera setup on back will consist of a pair of 16MP snappers, with a 5MP camera in front to shoot selfies and video chats. A 4000mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Quick Charge will rapidly fill up the juicer. We could see Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen.

As usual, we expect to see the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 priced enticingly by the company.

Still don't understand the fascination with curved screens. Why would u want ur screen images appear chopped off looking narrower than it is. lol. Here's hoping this fad dies out!

100% agreed. Its like getting a 5.7" phone with a 5.5" width

In a way ur right. If u look from straight on, the screen will appear to measure shorter diagonally than listed. Some can argue that phones can be made smaller and ergonomic with curved edges.. But in effect, ur visually seeing a 'shortened' screen in addition to the other negatives...glare, image distortion, green hue, palm touches, exposure to falls.

Soon Xiaomi going to take over the android phone market and become the largest OEM in terms of sell. I certainly don't mind if they can do that.

Doubtful. Samsung will remain the "face" of Android for a while..

I love Xiaomi phones except for their cameras. I hope they make it right this time... Huawei is the only company behind Apple and Samsung who are spending serious money on R&D. Their cameras have also improved very much since P9.
