LG Optimus Elite images surface, coming soon to Sprint and Virgin Mobile

LG Optimus Elite images surface, coming soon to Sprint and Virgin Mobile
That a smartphone by the name of LG Optimus Elite is rumored to launch on Sprint and Virgin Mobile is something that we know already. What we didn't really know, however, was that the device will most likely come with Google Wallet support, as reported by PocketNow. What's more is that we now have a better idea as to what the smartphone will look like. Below you can see leaked press shots of the Sprint model in white and the Virgin Mobile variant in black.

The LG Optimus Elite actually isn't what one would call an elite smartphone. Quite the contrary: it is the U.S. version of the LG Optimus Net, which is nothing but an entry level Android handset. It has a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels, and inside it runs an 800MHz single-core processor. You also get a 3-megapixel auto-focus camera, NFC, and the usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and A-GPS.

It is expected for the LG Optimus Elite to land on Sprint in the near future followed by a release on Virgin Mobile in early May. We don't really know how much it will cost, but we expect it to be pretty affordable considering its modest hardware specs.
