LG’s Smart Keyboard
that debuted on the G3
not long ago is about to receive an update which will make it even smarter. For example, the update will bring what LG is calling “Application-based Text Tone Suggestion” - this literally learns from your typing habits in order to offer word suggestions depending on the app that you’re typing in (if you usually start emails with “Dear,”, this is the world that it’ll suggest first).
The Smart Keyboard update will also include emoji suggestions, bilingual word suggestion, and real-time path input. LG says that G3 owners will receive the update later this month.
“While Smart Keyboard is just one piece of a larger UX, it’s a significant feature in that it improves upon a very fundamental feature that all smartphone owners do - typing on a cramped keyboard. From the very beginning of G3’s development, we tried to learn as much as we could about the way consumers interact with their smartphones. This Smart Keyboard update is a clear example of LG’s continuing effort to provide a better and improved user experience,” declared Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
