Verizon today finally announced the launch date of its LG G Pad 8.3. As previously rumored, the tablet will be available to Verizon customers starting March 6.

Verizon’s G Pad will feature LTE, being offered for $299.99 off-contract. From March 6 to March 10, Verizon will sell the new tablet for $99.99 with a new 2-year agreement. After March 10, customers wanting to buy the G Pad on contract will have to pay $199.99 for it.

The LG G Pad comes with an 8.3-inch IPS Full HD (1200 x 1920) display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz 1.5GHz, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, MicroSD card slot, and a 4,600 mAh battery. The Google Play Edition of the tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat, but it's not clear if Verizon's version will also have KitKat at launch.

Another new Android tablet that’s supposed to be released by Verizon on March 6 is the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO. However, the largest US mobile carrier didn’t say anything about this, so we don’t know if the giant NotePRO is still scheduled for launch that day. In any case, we will let you know when we hear more on the matter.
