Japan’s Second carrier launches in the US as KDDI Mobile
The second largest Japanese carrier, KDDI (the biggest one is NTT DoCoMo) announced that it will launch as a MVNO in the States, using Sprint Nextel's network (similar to Helio). The KDDI in USA will mainly target the Japanese customers. Initially, the phones offered will be made by Sanyo, but sold under the brand of KDDI. We expect that other manufacturers will also provide phones for the carrier in future.
