It takes just 10 minutes for the ZTE Nubia Z9 to sell out in China

In the space of ten minutes this morning, the new ZTE Nubia Z9 was sold out in China, priced at the equivalent of $645 USD for the Classic model. The handset offers a combination of brains and beauty, with a screen-to-body ratio of 74%. The 5.2-inch screen features a 1080 x 1920 resolution and is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 SoC, which includes an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 430 GPU.

The Exclusive and Elite editions of the phone each carry 4GB of RAM. A 16MP camera graces the back of the handset, and an 8MP selfie snapper is on front. 32GB of native memory is on board and a non-removable 2900mAh battery keeps the lights on. Android 5.0.2 is pre-installed.

ZTE joins a number of other Chinese handset manufacturers like Vivo, Oppo and LeTV who have embraced the bezel-less age. Judging from the heavy demand that we've seen for these handsets, it might be just be a matter of time before we see more handset producers reduce the size of the bezels on their screens.

Thanks for the tip!
