With live streaming offered on many social media sites, becoming a live personality has never been so easy. Today, Instagram is debuting live video for Instagram Stories. Go to the camera for Stories and swipe to "Live." Your followers will know that you are streaming thanks to a "live" button that will appear over your Story icon. Your friends and family will be able to tap on their screen to send you floating hearts and comments.

Unlike some other social media sites that offer streaming video, there is no way on Instagram to save videos to view later. That means that if you want to catch a live stream from a certain person, you will have to be clicking on their stream just at the right time. Instagram does say that it will post "Top Live" videos on the Explore page to alert you to a stream that you might want to join.

While the feature is rolling out in the U.S. starting today, it might be a few days before all state-side Instagram users can start streaming live. The Facebook-owned social media site has produced a special video for Instagram Live, which can be found at the top of this story.
