The HTC One (E8) was the less expensive, plastic-bodied version of the HTC One (M8). That means that the HTC One E9pt (A55) could be the cheaper, plastic bodied version of the HTC One M9 Plus. That makes sense if the "p" in HTC One E9pt stands for Plus.

Just the other day, we passed along some of the premium specs expected on the phone, including a 5.5-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. We also expect to see a fingerprint sensor. On Saturday, images of the device were leaked from Romania. The buzz around the water-cooler has the phone priced at an equivalent of $480 USD.

The HTC One E9pt (A55) is expected to launch at the end of this month in China. It is unclear whether this model will make it to the U.S. The HTC One (E8) eventually came to Sprint, so there is a possibility that the new device could make it to the states.
