Huawei video teaser shows off an exciting feature of the P30 Pro camera

With the unveiling  of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro just five days away, the company released a video teaser today that focuses on the P30 Pro's 10X hybrid zoom. The handset will feature a quad-camera setup in back that includes a 40MP primary sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor and a Time-of-Flight sensor for AR and more accurate depth measurement.

The Huawei P30 is expected to offer a 5X hybrid zoom and will carry a tri-camera setup on the back. While the sensors on the phone will be similar to what you'll find on the P30 Pro, the lower priced model will not be equipped with the Time-of-Flight camera. The optics on both phones will be from Leica.

Besides the hybrid zoom capabilities of both handsets, Huawei says that it will use a combination of software and hardware to improve low-light photography on the P30 line. Whether Huawei will be able to dethrone the current low-light champion, the Pixel 3, won't be known until the new phones are released on April 5th.

The video teaser produced by Huawei hints that users will be able to record on video a wide-angle and zoom perspective of the same scene at the same time. The teaser, which is titled "See everything with the #HUAWEIP30," can be found at the top of this article.

That copy Samsung who copied apple when it comes to style. All these Chinese companies do is make a phone that copies on what apple and or a little Samsung does with what timers that they find out from the supply chain. As well as they just put the best hardware they can find. All this is a copy of apples origonal style going back to before the iPhone. Apple has always used great materials as soon as they could as to Samsung only started to recently. Granted I and most use a case but still..........the reason for there success is they make a great phone for cheaper and for people that are anti apple.

He’s got a point, look at androids line up, basically competing to apple and chinese UI is a rip-off of apple’s iOS.

Camera is cool and all but you'll have to deal with EMUI along the way...

Nothing wrong with EMUI, it's just different and people don't like change. I've used phones with EMUI for over 4 years and now when i use a phone with a different OS skin i find it really awkward. It's all about what you get used to using and familiarity.

I once had a huawei smartphone but sold it back after 2 days. I have no doubt that this will be a good smartphone but I will never consider buying this brand again. The first impression is everything. It is as if they are trying too hard to sell their product that I feel they might be right with the espionage software. And the resale prices are lower on the second-hand market like samsung in our country but the purchase amount is about the Same.........nope!

For sure you didn't try mate 20 pro. After owning this phone I don't want any other but I'm strongly into mobile photography. And you think that they may by right with software espionage because you "feel it"? Wow. How come everybody is a hypocrite when it comes to Huawei supposedly spying on us. It's like Google is not? Facebook is not? One plus was proved to be sending sensitive data to China and somehow they are not banned in US? And now Nokia phones by HMD global also sent sensitive data to China and what? Nothing. If Huawei was cought doing that, there would be news all over the world. But guess what. For now there is no single proof for that claims.

Optics are not made by Leica. How difficult is it to Google it? They are made by a Chinese company. Leica cooperation is on the software level. And how did you come to a conclusion that pixel is the best in low light? So many Pixel fanboys nowadays. Sorry but now way pixel is the best in low light, Pixel camera is highly overrated.
