Huawei sends out invitations to April 6th event; unveiling of Huawei P9 is hinted at

Earlier this month, Huawei posted a teaser for what appeared to be an event that was taking place in Berlin on March 9th. At the time, it appeared that at this event the manufacturer would unveil the Huawei P9, and the three other variants that are expected to be available along with it. But today, a new invitation has been disseminated by the company that actually contains a giant hint that links it to the P9.

The invitations say "Save The Date," which is listed as April 6th, 2016. The event will take place in London. And at the top of the invite is a #00 image followed by a phrase that reads, "Change The Way You See The World." We think that the  #00 could relate to the dual cameras on the back of the P9 phones, since the lens are placed next to each other side by side. Or, it could represent two eyes. Either way, when you combine it with the phrase about changing the way you see the world, it would seem that this truly is pointing out the dual cameras on the new phones. And that would make the invitation related to a media event at which the Huawei P9, P9 Lite, P9 Special Enhanced model and P9 Max will be unveiled.

Just the other day pictures of the device leaked along with some specs. The Huawei P9 Lite will feature a 5-inch screen and will be equipped with the Snapdragon 650 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The Huawei P9 will offer a 5.2-inch display with the Kirin 950 SoC under the hood. 3GB of RAM and 32GB ROM will be inside. A 6.2-inch display is expected for the Huawei P9 Special Enhanced version, which will be powered by the Kirin 955 chipset. 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM will come with the phone. And lastly, the Huawei P9 Max should feature a 6.8-inch display with the Kirin 955 chipset under the hood. This unit could feature 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB ROM.

We should know all on April 6th. And of course, as we get closer to that date, the number of leaks should increase exponentially.

Thanks for the tip!
