Huawei P9 appears again, some specs and pricing in tow
Recently, we showed you some images of the Huawei P9. Four different versions of the handset are expected to be unveiled at a media event to be held on March 9th. The four variants are expected to include the Huawei P9, Huawei P9 lite, Huawei P9 Max, and a special enhanced Huawei P9 with more RAM and a screen size in between the P9 and P9 Max.

Today, some new images of the Huawei P9 have appeared, along with some specs. The P9 lite will be powered by the Snapdragon 650 SoC with 2GB RAM/16GB ROM. The P9 will be equipped with the Kirin 950 chipset carrying 3GB RAM/32GB ROM. The special enhanced P9 and the P9 Max both are driven by the Kirin 955 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM. The P9 Max will include a 6-inch screen. All of the models feature dual cameras on the back, along with a fingerprint scanner.,

Looking at pricing, the Huawei P9 lite is expected to be tagged at the equivalent of $289 USD. The Huawei P9 Max will most likely cost the equivalent of $627 USD. That is a pretty wide spread for four variants of the same model. Huawei is looking to appease all sorts of smartphone buyers as it tries to accomplish a pretty tough goal. Just the other day Richard Yu, Huawei's chairman of Huawei Devices and CEO of its consumer business group, said that the company will surpass both Apple and Samsung to become the world's leading global smartphone manufacturer in just five years. Currently, the company is third behind both Samsung and Apple, but achieved higher growth than both of them in 2015.
