Here's the first LG G4 drop test

Here's the first LG G4 drop test
The LG G4 is not made out of metal (like some of its direct competitors, including the Samsung Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9, and the iPhone 6), but does that mean it's a fragile device? Well, someone decided to put the G4 through a couple of drop tests to answer this question.

At first, the G4 was dropped from about 5 feet (1.5 meters) on one of its sides. The second drop - from about the same height - was made with the handset's 5.5-inch screen facing the ground.

We're not going to spoil the results, as you can see the drops (and the aftermath) for yourself in the video below. However, we'll just mention that the display of the G4 is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, not the newer Gorilla Glass 4.

While the LG G4 is already available to buy in some markets, it hasn't been released in the US yet. But the smartphone will go on sale Stateside soon, via all major carriers. Are you planning to get one? Perhaps our LG G4 review will help you decide!

Would a Zagg Invisishield save the front glass? How much is the cost of parts and labor to have this fixed? Who cares how powerful these phones are if they are so fragile? Who cares how pretty if you have to hide them in a case?

1. No 2. A lot, especially if parts aren't easily available. 3. Fragile is a relative term. So is clumsy and stupid. 4. Do you go around naked?

I will never understand how some one could buy a phone only to destroy it in some kind of test. at least this guy can still have the screen replaced to make the phone good as new.

Also, they earn more money from such videos which easily compensates for the device.

2015 and you still don't understand how youtube works? They do it for the hype and views hoping that it will converted to profit. If you watch TV it's a no brainer.

Again it's a gamble for rating. They get massive viewers, youtube pay them money. As simple as that.

That's not true you don't know how youtube works they get paid from ads bruh not from views. but first your account has to be verified then you have to register to get ads you cant just upload a video get a tone of views and expect to get paid lol. Getting tones of views and subscribers is just the first step to getting paid, cause without them you couldn't get verified.

Well this guy is paid. His subscriber count is comparable to guys like Lew from Unbox Therapy and Mkbhd. He's undoubtedly loaded. Second gadget destruction porn gets views which then correlates to getting paid.

Lol! So if you see iphones getting destroyed you're gonna cry like a little baby? Do you really think most android users are emotionally attached to their device? You gotta live in a real world it's just a phone.

Any smartphone that drops on its face is bound to break.

this is one tough phone..the galaxy s6 would'nt survive the drop since it has all glass and would just break easy.
