Here's how to display battery percentage on Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus (iOS 9 tutorial)

The Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are fairly thin phones that still manage to offer fairly good battery life (we're especially impressed with the battery longevity of the iPhone 6s Plus), but sometimes it is important to know the exact amount of juice left to plan your usage so that battery lasts you the whole day (or night).

Sometimes you need an exact number to tell you how much juice you have left

For those occasions, the default battery indicator that shows rough levels is not enough: ideally, what one would need is a percentage number. Luckily, this functionality is built right into iOS 9, and enabling it is a piece of cake.

After you enable it, the indicator appears to the left of the battery icon, showing you an exact reading of how much battery you have left. So how do you do the trick of enabling it?
