Have a taste of Android or WP7 by simulating them on your iPhone
Lets say that you are a happy iPhone owner but at the same time you have sometimes wondered what it might feel like to use Android or even Windows Phone 7 for a little bit. Well, now you can actually try either one of the operating systems to some extent by simulating them right there on your iPhone. OSFaker is the app that you need to download, assuming your iPhone has already been successfully jailbroken.

OSFaker can be easily obtained through Cydia and will do its best to give you a graphical representation of either Android or WP7. For those of you unfamiliar with Cydia, imagine Apple's App Store, but offering apps which were designed specifically to be used on a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch. Needless to say, such applications would have never made it to the listings of Apple's App Store.

Using the application proves to be pretty simple as it gives you the option to simulate Android or WP7 right after its launch. OSFaker added WP7 simulation in its most recent update, which explains its limited capabilities. On the other hand, the Android simulation includes access to a handful of basic apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Calculator, and Paint. Feel free to give it a try if you are curious enough already!

You can download OSFaker from Polarbear's repository

luis_lopez is right... android fans, just stick to it, make less comments. I personally love the android platform and i dislike iphone in many ways. However i do not go ard bashing people that have iphones. To each his own. Let it be. At the end of the day, as long as you're happy with your phone then thats all that matters. One day when people realize it, they will automatically switch over from the iphone to android. So everyone, just chill.... its just a phone...

android fans make android look like crap -__- your going to turn android in to apple just watch...the only reason there is a lot of iphone haters is because iphone users brag and think they are the "SH*T". Don't do that to android. if your a fan u would keep your mouth shut.

You clearly don't sell phones for a living. When you don't even know the basics. If you're just going to use your phone for basic features that are available on a dumb phone, get the iPhone. Honestly I have never even saw an iPhone user open a pdf on their phones. It's so sad to see iPhone users use their phone to text/call/facebook/twitter/play games.

Oh, no way? You sell phones for a living? Man, you must be like the ONLY cell phone salesman on the planet. Hmm....maybe, just maybe, there are more than one of us that works in this industry. And maybe, just maybe, the rest of us can type complete sentences and avoid the use of acronyms when we try to make a point.

To be I call it you being Ignorant and unaware. You presume to act like you know what other people want in a cell phone. If someone choose a iphone or wp7 device over android they get put down. I agree it appears that the android community is over run with 17 year old virgin for life nerds that get their rocks off degrading other peoples choices. You and everyone like you are pathetic.

As a 17 year old virgin for life nerd, I take offense to your comment! TheFunnyMan is only trying to help you by unbrainwashing your brain and show you the light. However, it appears that too many people are blissful in their ignorance...

For Android fan that thinks Android it's Bomb hands down Android copy symbain and ios I used an Android user and fan before and I'm wondering how the f...k Android make a phones with SD card and you can't use it unless if you root the phone and after the root you have to download an app for SD card?!!! What a joke

11. TheFunnyMan

Are you joking, IOS5? Put down the iPhone and step over into a platform that works. The SD card works perfect out of the box on Android. Not everything has to be back-doored, jailbroken, and coaxed into customization. Some products do work directly out of the box

lol you clearly don't know what you're talking about. No root necessary to mount the card as a disk drive and view all the files on your computer. When you plug it into usb, a dialogue box opens that gives you the option to charge only, mount as disk drive, or enable usb tethering. I use my phone as my flash drive because it accepts all documents. Then I use my file explorer to manage the files and I edit my office docs with documents to go. Try doing that on iOS. Oh sorry, you can't, because you can only store pics, video, and music on yours.

AS i stated above, Androidtroll, if you were smart you wud know the iphone does that... even without jailbreaking it does it. over wifi at that... no need to plug in.

Lol that google search bar looks ghetto. I am sure that it doesn't have voice actions. Hey sheeple, try saying to your iphone "Navigate to Steve Job's ass." Android would launch google navigation and take you there. Crapple would just launch a google search.

If you knew what you were talking about, you would know that this app is a screen shot with a few links... Also you would know that there is an app which adds a vast netweork of voice commands to the iphone... SO yes, the voice commands become better then the google ones becuase it can do anything you tell it. not just pretend to do what it thinks the iphone cant.

oh please don't even try me noob. First, I know that the app you're talking about is vlingo and I'm not impressed. Secondly, my whole point was that no matter how hard you itards try, you will never have a proper google search bar WIDGET that has voice actions built in that will allow you to launch google NAVIGATION (exclusive to Android right now). All you will have is one shortcut that launches an app that allows you to acces other apps via shortcuts. And google maps does not count as google navigation as it lacks 3d view and voice guidance.
