HTC Snap is your email assitant
According to HTC, a recent study conducted in the States shows that "44% of US adults are often overwhelmed by the amount of email they receive, and over half (55%) of US adults prioritize five or fewer people with whom they communicate via email". This is why the Taiwanese manufacturer today announced the HTC Snap smartphone with the Inner Circle feature. It allows you to bring emails from a selected group of people on the top of the email with a click of a button.

Otherwise, the Snap (previously known as the Maple) is pretty standard smart phone. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard edition, has 528MHz processor, full QWERTY (HTC really touts its quality) and trackball, which HTC calls jog ball. Its body is less than half inch (12mm) thick and the 1500mAh battery allows for up to 8.5 hours of talk time. Snap also features 2.4" QVGA display, AGPS, Wi-Fi and 2-megapixel camera.

HTC Snap is a quad-band GSM phone and will be available in two versions, one for the U.S. and one suitable for Europe. It will be available in selected markets during the second quarter, but there isn't information about carrier availability or pricing. The U.S. version (with 3G at 850/1900 MHz) will bear the S522 model and will be available during the summer.
