HTC EVO Shift 4G might have passed FCC approval?
The FCC has approved an unknown CDMA device with WiMAX on board. The connectivity combination points to a Sprint phone and it could turn out to be the recently trademarked EVO Shift 4G / Knight. The device is mysteriously referred to as “Smartphone/PG06100” and you can do your share of investigative journalism on Google, but it seems all information for now would count as speculations.

If the handset turns out to be the the HTC Knight / EVO Shift 4G, we could as well add some more unconfirmed specifications to juice up expectations. A sliding QWERTY keyboard combined with a 3.7-inch display and an 8-megapixel camera might run on Android 2.2, powered by ooh, a dual core processor, as the rumor goes. And that would not be a flagship device, which makes us wonder what could the flagship for Sprint look like.

But the phone, which looks like Sprint's version of HTC Desire Z, according to a leaked image, might prove us wrong altogether. So let's hold on and wait for some more blurry photos to show up before we let the Knight rage in.
