HTC Desire 610 to be launched by AT&T?

The smartphone seen above is the Desire 610. It was announced by HTC last week at MWC 2014, alongside the larger, more powerful Desire 816. HTC said that the Desire 610 would be available in Europe starting May, but it looks like it might also be launched in the US at some point.

According to @evleaks, the Desire 610 is headed to AT&T. Not long ago, we heard that AT&T would released the Desire 816, too. Even more, the second largest US mobile carrier is almost certainly also getting ready to sell the All New HTC One (M8) flagship.

HTC America President Jason Mackenzie recently said that the company would offer a broader range of handsets this year in the US - and it appears that AT&T has a major role in this.

The Desire 610 will likely be affordable when it hits shelves. Its features include a 4.7-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels, LTE (optional), 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing snapper, quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 2,040 mAh battery. HTC didn’t say what version of Android the Desire 610 runs.
