Unlocked HTC 10 gets its Android Nougat update tomorrow, carrier versions will be updated in early 2017

While wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving, today, HTC shared some excellent news for US owners of the unlocked HTC 10: the handset is officially being updated to Android 7 Nougat starting tomorrow, November 25. Thus, HTC is keeping its promise to bring Nougat to its flagship smartphone before the end of 2016.

After the unlocked HTC 10, HTC should update the unlocked One M9 and One A9, but, for now, there's no exact release date for Nougat on these two handsets. What we do know is that carrier versions of the HTC 10 and HTC One M9 will receive Android Nougat "early next year."

Alongside the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and LG G5 (only the Sprint version for now), the HTC 10 is among the first non-Google smartphones to be officially updated to Android Nougat in the US. Good job, HTC!
