Gresso adorns their Grand Monaco handsets with leather
About a month ago we told you about the new cell phone series of Gresso, inspired by Formula 1 and called Grand Monaco. The manufacturer has decided to deck the devices in the line-up with real leather and name the refreshed product the Grand Monaco LE (LE as in leather). Gresso states the leather has been treated with special impregnating agents, which makes it extremely resistant to wear and tear. The technology involved in the process is identical to the one employed by vehicle manufacturers and designed to extend the lifespan of car interior of luxury makes. The Grand Monaco LE comes with leather coated back in two colour versions - red and black.

Aside from the new coating, the handsets are virtually identical to those of the Grand Monaco Series and made of titanium alloy covered with several layers of ceramics. Their displays are strewn with hand-polished 42-carat sapphire crystals, while the keypads are made of lapped steel that has undergone special treatment to give the material exceptional scratch resistance. The other specifications include 2-megapixel camera, QVGA resolution display, Bluetooth, FM radio and microSD slot. The Gresso Grand Monaco LE handsets are already available for purchase and the price of $1,800 is lower than the price tag of the original line-up.
