Google gets ICS statue and launch event in Hong Kong is announced
We all know that Android OS updates don't really exist until there is a statue on the lawn of the Googleplex to prove it. Today, the Ice Cream Sandwich statue finally made it to the Google HQ and joined its sweety brothers.

Even better, the launch event for Ice Cream Sandwich and the Nexus Prime has finally been rescheduled. The event was supposed to happen as part of Samsung's Unpacked event at CTIA this past Tuesday, but was delayed. The official reason was that the delay was in deference to Steve Jobs' passing, but there were rumors that the delay was actually to pull out features that infringed on patents.

Whatever the reason, the event has been rescheduled and will now take place next Wednesday, October 19th, in Hong Kong. The event will be at 10AM local time. That means that with the time difference the event will be 10PM on October 18th for those on the US east coast, or 3AM GMT on October 19th.
