Google files trademark application for the new Pixel phones, full name revealed

So, in mere hours, we will be witnessing the unveiling of Google's new Pixel phones. Successors to the Nexus line, the new devices will have a lot more Google DNA in them, as the company has reportedly been responsible for the hardware design as well as the software part of things.

We've known for a while that they will be called Pixel and Pixel XL, and Google has been marketing the event with the #madebygoogle hashtag. But a trademark application to the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) seems to reveal the full name of the devices.

Apparently, the phones are to be called G Pixel Phone by Google. You know, just in case you didn't know these devices are entirely Google-designed. Yes, that does seem like a bit of a mouthful, but we do believe that the "Phone by Google" part would be stylized as a subheading. So, does G Pixel sound good to you or not so much?
