Google Pixel and Pixel XL in all three colors: highest-res images yet leak hours ahead of official unveiling

Today's the day, people! In less than 4 hours, Google will unveil its first in-house developed smartphones not bearing the Nexus brand — called the Pixel and Pixel XL — among other new and exciting things. As far as the two phones go, suffice it to say, we've had more than enough chances to see them from every angle possible in the last couple of months, but — and that's a big BUT — it is only now, on the day of their official unveiling, that we get to see them in such clarity!

Feast your eyes upon the latest batch of leaked press-images of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, in all three colors — blue, black and white/gray from the looks of it — which come in ultra-high resolution this time around! Enjoy!

I love google stuff but these phones are hideous. The look like iphone es from the front. What is with the bezels?

You can clearly identify the manufacturer just by the size of bezels.

I'm sorry but these Pixel phones are ugly as f**k! HTC shame on you! You could have done it much much better! They look like iPhone wannabes from 2012.

Bezels are ugly indeed. But let's cross our fingers, it's not yet officially announced.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks they look like crap. They seriously need to work on that screen-to-body ratio.

HTC? This is a phone by Google, HTC helps google make it, if google wants it pretty it will be, if google gives 0 f**ks about aesthetics then its also googles fault.

Too much 'leaks' killed my excitement.

NSA has tracking components in those ridiculously huge bezels... I mean that has to be the reason with these Google phones right?

3 dots beside camera lens.No specifications on them yet. And also the top n bottom bezels are huge

There is a full leak of all specs. The camera is exactly same as 6P with addition of OIS, same sensor, same mp, same pixel size, etc.

No, the senzor should be different. IMX378 instead of 377 of Nexus 6p.

Yeah if there is no home button and/or capacitive buttons the bezels are pretty pointless...... Dammit HTC/Google

Do they have dual bottom speakers?

I don't understand why the bezels have to be so big. There's no physical home button on the front; why is the bottom bezel so big?

If Google was going to make the bottom bezel so big, then Google should have put a front facing speaker there or move the fingerprint scanner to the front of the device. I am surprised that Google did not come up with the fingerprint scanner built into the display just to keep the front facing speakers. The Black and Blue Pixel XL is not so bad but Google could have done better.

These phones look like generic Chinese phones.

I'm interested in the Pixel XL. Looks like I would have to go for the black/grey combo. I like the blue but since it's not blue all the way around the phone, I will pass on that. Few hours left now.

Yeah the blue is a little too much for me. Will probably go with the black also. Glad this one looks better than that cheap looking 6p from last year with the huge bezels.

Are you going for the smaller version or the XL? I'm also concerned about the off contract price. If this phone indeed starts at $650, they better have something in that phone that justifies that price.

Apple invented the color blue? The plot thickens.

Are you actually trying to stoke the fanboy wars here? It's a color unless Apple specifically developed and trademarked that color, it's not an issue. It's pretty sad when authors are trying to start arguments between their readers.

As of right now, this looks very disappointing. Phones do not look good at all. I never liked the way HTC designs their phones and figured they would look something like this when HTC got the nod. If they don't look better in person or Google has a major Acer up the sleeve, guess I'll be holding on to my 6P for another year or looking at a different Android OEM
