Google Pixel 3 XL Clearly White variant revealed in new set of live images

Google Pixel 3 XL Clearly White variant revealed in new set of live images
Following a 360-degree render last month that showed off the complete design of the Pixel 3 XL and a set of photos that showcased the smartphone in black, new live images have now appeared online revealing what seems to be a prototype of the upcoming Cleary White variant of Google’s next flagship.

Once again confirming previous leaks, the black front panel is dominated by a tall display complete with a relatively large notch and chin, although the remaining portions of bezel have seen a significant reduction in size. Also, an upgrade to the selfie setup has been made in the form of two sensors instead of the typical one, while in between these sits the in-ear speaker which doubles as a front-facing stereo speaker when coupled with the one present on the bottom chin. Switching over to the rear, although slightly less noticeable because of the color, the images do reconfirm the presence of a dual-tone construction which is seemingly created by using a frosted finish on one section, and a glossy finish on the remaining glass, thus removing the aluminum portion that has previously been featured.

In terms of what can be expected internally from Google’s Pixel 3 XL, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 should power the device alongside 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, as confirmed by the images, a 4GB of RAM model with 64GB of internal storage is also in the works. This will be coupled with upgraded cameras on both the front and rear, and stock Android 9.0 P straight out of the box. Furthermore, while it’s unclear how large the battery pack will be, wireless charging support is expected to be included.

Currently, if Google chooses to follow in its previous footsteps, the Pixel 3 XL will most likely launch alongside the regular Pixel 3 on October 4, followed by a release later that month. In terms of pricing, though, no information has appeared as of yet.

Ummm no. The notch is not fine. It's hideous. This phone overall looks bad. To me it's a step backwards from the Pixel 2 XL.

The Notch is ok... Compared to other OEMs, Google actually reduced the bezels on the top. That's why the notch looks bigger than on other phones...

@BLUEBALLSTASTER. "The Notch is fine". That's like not neutering and spaying all notch users so they don't reproduce is considered fine. No! We must stop this heinous notch cancer from spreading NOW! Only then can humanity move forward and evolve into a more civilized species.

Google shows helplessness in the design as SONY. Ugly notch, ugly chin. No innovations. No nothing.

Looks ridiculous actually. The iPhone unibrow was ugly but that coupled with a chin makes this down right nasty.

It's probably the ugliest phone with a notch. If you're going to do a phone with a notch you have to do it better than what's already available. Luckily, there's another version, albeit smaller with no notch.

The only reason notches exist is because we want bezeless phones but we need a place for front facing camera. I don't understand why they can't just pack everything in the top bezel and make bottom bezeless (or the other way around like Mi Mix) Having both bottom bezel and a notch kind of defeats the whole idea...

I always wonder why companies are not making phones with only the top bezel housing camera and other things. Leave the sides and chin slim and that would be perfect. After all, no one really wants to stretch his finger all the way to the top.

Does this mean no 1/3 glass + 2/3 metal back? Because that is ridiculous. The new IMX586 48MP cannot do the 960fps. So XZ3/XZ2s is not going to use. This must be for Pixel 3, Iphone 6.5" or Mate 20 Pro.

It should all be glass now but 1/3 will be glossy and 2/3 frosted

Why is the chin so big? Just put the speaker on the bottom like Apple does.

These notched phones are just absolutely hideous, I'll be glad when this trend dies like all trends.
