Google Maps for iOS gets update to add businesses nearby an address, and more
Version 4.3.0 of Google Maps for iOS is now available from the Apple App Store for iPhones and iPads running iOS 6 or higher. With the update, you will see business that are nearby an address that you search for. In addition, you will see interesting facts on nearby points of interest, and on your calendar you can add transit directions.

Also listed on the changelog, Google Maps will now show you upcoming performances and events at certain venues. By sharing reviews, you can earn your Local Guides badge from Google. If you post over 200 reviews, you will get a annual gift from Google besides being featured on Google+ and on the tech titan's Facebook and Twitter pages.

And we almost let you get away without informing you that the new update to Google Maps for iOS also includes bug fixes. Yes, we know, you're shocked as well (That's called sarcasm, folks). Google Maps for iOS is a free download.

I can't standing use Apple Maps. It is usually several minutes off on arrival time and also send you the much longer way if even to the right location. I was very happy when Google released Maps for iOS.
