Gmail app for Android is locking users out of the inbox, fix is coming
Google has acknowledged that a bug is creating havoc with its mobile app for Android. On Thursday, Gmail app users complained about a flickering screen that locks them out of the inbox. Android Central spoke with Google about the situation and the company said that they "are in the process of fixing it." The complaints were all basically the same with the user unable to access his inbox. Some complained that the app kept refreshing.
Kudos to Google for being up-to-date with the problem and working on a fix so quickly. There are countless number of Gmail users who rely on the service every day and for many, downtime just cannot be tolerated. Google didn't say when the fix would be made available. Have any of our loyal readers run into this problem with the Gmail app today? What exactly were the problems that you were facing? Let us know by dropping us a comment in the box below.
