GIGA-BYTE has also left its mark at the Mobile World Congress by announcing its new Windows Mobile flagship smartphone, the
GSmart S1200. It will first launch with WM 6.1 OS, but later, users will be able to upgrade to 6.5, once the software upgrades are available. The S1200 will incorporate GIGA-BYTE’s own “Smart Zone” graphical user interface and will pack a 528MHz Qualcomm processor,
3.1-inch WVGA touchscreen and a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus. For additional connectivity, the handset will feature Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as a GPS receiver.
The GIGA-BYTE GSmart S1200 is said to become available in Q2 2009, however, at what price is still a question to be answered.
