Foursquare updates iOS and Android app

Updating the "Explore" tab on both its iOS and Android app, location-based social network foursquare has made it easier for users to navigate and search for restaurant locations and ask their best buddies for the names of popular places. The new colorful "Explore" tabs allow foursquare users to quickly search for popular places and top restaurant picks outside of your current position.

Foursquare can help you find a place to eat, but can it tell you how much moola you will need? Thanks to the update, the answer is now a resounding "Yes". The foursquare app now features restaurant menus and pricing. This feature was added to the foursquare website a few weeks ago thanks to a collaboration with solutions startup company SinglePlatform. The two companies have hooked up to offer the pricing on 13 million menu items for more than 250,000 restaurants and that info is now available on the app.
