First glimpse of Iron Man edition Samsung Galaxy S6 edge "coming next week"

Forget Green Emerald: the only version of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge that true Marvel fans are looking to purchase is the Iron Man edition. Samsung's marketing chief Lee Young-hee confirmed earlier this month that both of its top-tier S6 handsets will be available in the special Iron Man finish, although this and the last teaser reference only the S6 edge. Whether this means that the standard Galaxy S6 will not be getting the Iron Man treatment remains to be seen, but what's more certain is that the unveiling will take place very shortly.

As per a post on Samsung Mobile Korea's Facebook page, the Iron Man edition Galaxy S6 edge, at least, will be "coming next week." This corroborates the suggestions of Lee Young-hee, who initially touted a late-May, early-June time frame. The Facebook post also offers a first look at the S6 edge from the rear, and as you can see, it'll sport a special Iron Man logo beneath the camera.

Once the unveiling has taken place, we'll know more with regards to availability and pricing. But since it's a limited edition variant that, one suspects, many Marvel fanatics will be looking to purchase, those eyeing this up will surely need to act quickly.

Earlier this year, it was rumored that Samsung and Marvel would team up to offer a number of Avengers editions of the S6 and S6 edge, although so far, only the Iron Man version has been confirmed. Still, this hasn't stopped fans from dreaming, and below, you can take a look at what the S6 might look like if Sammy ever does create editions for Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America and others.
