All eyes might have been on the grand new 4K phone by Sony at MWC - the XZ Premium - but there were three other phones announced, and one of them has all the makings of a hit handset.

The new Xperia XZs comes in a very pocketable and palm-friendly size with a 5.2" 1080p display, but it's one pretty little monster, too, with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB RAM, stereo speakers, waterproof certification, and Sony's new 19 MP sensor that does super slow-mo 960fps video.

That is the same "Motion Eye" camera that is in the XZ Premium, so one can expect the same splendid results. We snapped a few quick indoor photos at the show floor with the 19 MP Xperia XZs camera, and these below are the results, though we won't comment on any virtues before we get a retail unit for review. These are the full-size samples straight from the camera which are quite large, so be patient while they load.
