Facebook launches WhatsApp Business app, but only on Android
The team behind the overwhelmingly popular WhatsApp messaging app revealed last year plans to launch business accounts, which will give users access to specific features. Today, the developers announced a new app called WhatsApp Business is now available for download via Google Play Store.

The new app is free to download, but it's not available in all countries. At first, WhatsApp Business will go live in the following countries: Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. However, WhatsApp claims the app will be rolled out to more markets in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp Business is the same as the regular WhatsApp application but comes with a handful of specific features like the option to create business profiles, thus enabling customers to receive useful info such as business description, email or store addresses, and website.

Also, WhatsApp Business features so-called Messaging Tools, which includes options like quick replies, greeting messages, and away messages. Messaging Statistics, WhatsApp Web and Account Type are some of the other features that the basic WhatsApp application doesn't have.

Unfortunately, there's no mention of an iOS version of WhatsApp Business app, but it will probably come later on.
