Donate to Haiti through the use of a BlackBerry app
By now, almost everyone is probably aware of the abundant ways of aiding Haiti during these trying moments the country is experiencing. From making pledges to non-profit organizations to using your cell phone to pledge a donation via SMS, there are still many more ways you can contribute. Regrettably there are some BlackBerry owners that have been receiving a false text message about a contribution being made to Haiti by forwarding the message itself to other users. Fortunately now there is an app available for BlackBerry owners to donate money to certain charities in both the USA and Canada. There’s a variety of organizations you can choose from to donate your pledge – either in $5 or $10 amounts; which then are added to your monthly cell phone bill. The app itself was created with the partnership of XtremeLabs, CrackBerry.com, and MTV. So if you want to contribute through your BlackBerry, then it’d be wise to download it and start helping.
