Case-Mate Power Pad Wireless Charger hands-on

Case-Mate Power Pad Wireless Charger is a versatile Qi enabled wireless charging pad that's meant to work with a broad range of smartphones, while also offering quick charging technology to ensure that you're not waiting forever just to get your devices back to 100% capacity.

Constructed entirely out of plastic, the Case-Mate Power Pad will allow uses to charge their devices in two specific ways. On one hand, the rectangular shaped pad can be laid flat down, but it also comes included with this pedestal stand that props up devices upright while they're charging. Since there's a cable that comes out from the rectangular pad, it has to be fastened in between the cutouts found on the pedestal stand.

Thanks to its fast charging technology, it'll deliver rapid charging to Apple's iPhones at 7.5W – while Samsung's Galaxy devices will see it ramped up to 9W. Because it supports the Qi wireless standard, we're able to safely charge another smartphone, an LG V30 to be exact, without any issues whatsoever. There's also an LED light fashioned onto the side of the charging pad, so in the event that you're unsure if your smartphone is charging or not, you can simply look at the LED light to know for sure!

Available right now in either white or black, the Case-Mate Power Pad can be purchased for about $60 through the company's web site – in addition to Amazon as well, which sees its cost right now to about $47. If you've acquired a wireless charging enabled smartphone recently, then you might want to consider this for the convenience of being able to charge wirelessly, rather than fumbling around getting the appropriate cable connected.
