Budget is a new expense tracker for Android that comes gratis, and offers numerous ways to reign in your spending. There are plenty of such apps in the Play Store, but some of the best are charging for this or that option now, so if you are on a lookout for a good free budgeting app, the aptly-named newcomer is worth taking a look at.

Besides the usual income or expense categorization, and periodic totals, Budget includes a way to add daily, weekly and monthly recurring transactions, or you can set ones with a custom duration. Apart from a pretty and functional interface, Budget sports widgets for your homescreen, too, allowing you to have your financial status one glance away.

The app notifies you for predetermined financial events, like when you hit your spending goal for the month, and can visualize your budget data in pretty charts for simpler analysis.
