BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design model priced at £1450, available Thursday at Harrods
Back in July, we told you that a BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design model was on the way. The original Porsche Design 'Berry, launched in Ocober 2011, was based on the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and powered by BlackBerry OS 7. The BlackBerry Z10 version of the Porsche Design phone will be powered by BlackBerry 10 and having the Porsche name on the phone means that you can expect the device to be made from higher quality materials, which it is. The body is produced from stainless steel and the glass weave design on the back is covered with "Italian leather". There even will be a variant crafted from crocodile leather.

As you might expect, the BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design handset is bound to put a dent into your bank account. Over in the U.K., the phone will be available starting November 21st from retailer Harrods for a price of £1450 ($2336 USD). The Porsche Design BlackBerry 10 model is style over substance as the specs on the device don't add up to the stiff selling price.

If you've got the cash to spend, and you have a die hard BlackBerry fan on your holiday shopping list, you might want to see if Harrods will have the phone up on its website on Thursday when the device is scheduled to be released.

There is only 500 of this phone being produced.. I don't think the rich Arabs would miss a beat on paying for it.

At least 12 of them. The other 488 will be dust magnets until somebody imports them to Russia, those cats are clownin'.

Am I really going to be the first person to say this? Who the hell cares? Blackberry is going down the drain. Anyone that could afford this device would be smart enough not to buy it.

There are plenty of stupid rich people. Aristocrats are notoriously brand loyal as well.

You give the wealthy too much credit. Intelligence doesn't just come along with money. Ever heard the phrase, "a fool & his money are soon parted"? Happens every day.

Those "fools" are called professional American athletes. Get it right.

Unfortunately, professional American athletes only comprise a small part of this group.

it looks worse than the original z10. should've done it with the z30 as the base for design.

If blackberry devices had the play store I think that would help them out a bit.

Porsche officially downgraded their own status with this mistake...worse than a horrid shoe collab this time.

None of u have ever bought a phone worth $2000 so why all these comments? They didn't make the phone for you, they made it for just a few that know what they really want. The user review has 24 reviews and it has 9.4 rating, that's more than enough to show that the build quality and the OS satisfy the people who have already purchased it. Please stop all these BlackBerry is dying thing, if you are not buying then your opinion is not needed. Let the people have the money spend the way they wish and have fun doing so.
