BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design model priced at £1450, available Thursday at Harrods
Back in July, we told you that a BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design model was on the way. The original Porsche Design 'Berry, launched in Ocober 2011, was based on the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and powered by BlackBerry OS 7. The BlackBerry Z10 version of the Porsche Design phone will be powered by BlackBerry 10 and having the Porsche name on the phone means that you can expect the device to be made from higher quality materials, which it is. The body is produced from stainless steel and the glass weave design on the back is covered with "Italian leather". There even will be a variant crafted from crocodile leather.
As you might expect, the BlackBerry Z10 Porsche Design handset is bound to put a dent into your bank account. Over in the U.K., the phone will be available starting November 21st from retailer Harrods for a price of £1450 ($2336 USD). The Porsche Design BlackBerry 10 model is style over substance as the specs on the device don't add up to the stiff selling price.
If you've got the cash to spend, and you have a die hard BlackBerry fan on your holiday shopping list, you might want to see if Harrods will have the phone up on its website on Thursday when the device is scheduled to be released.
