BlackBerry Motion will be launched in the US at Verizon, Sprint and AT&T

There's probably one more important BlackBerry smartphone making its way to shelves this year – the so-called BlackBerry Motion. Previously known as BlackBerry Krypton, the smartphone is expected to make its debut in the coming months.

Although the first picture of the BlackBerry Motion leaked yesterday, few details about its specs are known for the time being. Thankfully, the image reveals a little bit of info such as the fact that it's an all-touch smartphone, unlike the KEYone which features a QWERTY keyboard.

Also, BlackBerry Motion is supposed to be water resistant and be powered by a generous 4,000 mAh battery. Other than that, there's not much else known about its specs.

However, a new report coming from a reliable source suggests BlackBerry Motion will be launched in the United States. The smartphone will be carried by AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, and a dual-SIM version will be available in select markets (including China).

No word about the price so far, but we sincerely hope it will be competitive enough to actually sell more than just a few thousand units.

I hope that the huge chin does contribute to something; a trackpad or whatever gimmicks

That's good! Weird about no T-Mobile but 3 of 4 is pretty good.

Yeah, I wondered that too. Why conveniently leave out T-Mobile. I also wonder does it have the same camera sensor as the KeyOne.

Definitely interested since the essential had no headphone jack. I wish it could come with gigabit but if it has dual speakers and long battery I am sold

Awesome news. Three out of the four major U.S. Carriers are probably picking up the BlackBerry Motion due to the BlackBerry KEYone being such a surprise hit. BlackBerry is really having a lot of positive momentum as of late.

This one is going to be interesting. If the camera is as good as the KEYone's I will definitely look into it. For my old, tired eyes the KEYone's display is just too small.
