Best Buy will be offering free phones every Friday in October

In a move to jump start sales ahead of the upcoming busy holiday season, Best Buy will be offering a special promotion on select phones every Friday during the entire month of October. Basically, the consumer electronics giant will be pricing various devices for free with the signing of a 2-year agreement. From the looks of it all, the Samsung Fascinate, BlackBerry Curve for Sprint, HTC Aria, and Samsung Gravity 3 will be the first devices to be priced for free starting this coming Friday – October 1st; only for that day.

Each of the four major carriers will be well represented as a device from their lineup will be offered for free – with one of them being at least a high-end smartphone. Everyone is surely surprised by Amazon's recent pricing for the Samsung Fascinate for Verizon, which is priced at a penny, but Best Buy's upcoming promotion is looking mightily appealing when it drops it to the price of free.
