Best Buy starts taking pre-orders for the Wi-Fi only version of the HTC Flyer
As expected, big box retailer Best Buy has started taking pre-orders for the Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer. The 7 inch tablet starts out life on Android 2.3.3 but HTC has said that it will update the device to Honeycomb once Google makes the OS available to them. The Flyer also comes with a special stylus that will allow you to write on the capacitive screen to take notes, highlight text or just to draw a mustache on a picture of your girlfriend.

The price of the Wi-Fi only HTC Flyer is $499.99 and there is an estimated delivery date of May 22nd to May 27th which, for the first time, gives us an idea of when the tablet will be launched. HTC's first Android tablet doesn't offer the dual-core goodness that some other tablets do. But with a 1.5GHz single-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, the device should be fast enough and powerful enough to handle whatever task you throw at it.
