BenQ unveils first BenQ-Siemens cellphones

BenQ Mobile has unveiled the first three mobile phones of its line-up of BenQ-Siemens branded devices - EF81, S68 and S88.

EF81: an RAZR-like UMTS clamshell device, which is expected to start shipping at the end of February. It features:

• 1.3-inch color external display
• 2.2-inch 262k color main display
• 2.0 mega pixels swiveling camera
• Real Audio/Video player
• 64MB RAM
• MicroSD memory expansion slot

S68: a business users-orientated tri-band GSM phone that lacks camera and video playback facilities. It is expected to be available in March, 2006. The main features are:

• 1.8-inch 262k color TFT display
• Bluetooth
• GPRS/EDGE high-speed data
• 8MB internal memory
• Dual speakers
• 64-chord polyphonic ringtones
• USB port

S88: a tri-band bar-designed GSM phone that is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2006. The main features are:

• 2.0 mega pixels camera with flash
• 2-inch 262k color OLED display
• Bluetooth
• 16MB internal memory
• MicroSD memory expansion slot
