Bean. Jelly Bean. Sony Xperia TL gets Android 4.1.2 update stirred, not shaken
The AT&T version of the James Bond phone, the Sony Xperia TL, is starting to receive its update to Android 4.1.2 from the current build of Android 4.0.4. Unfortunately though, the update is not coming OTA but needs to be pulled out of the Sony PC Companion instead. The update features the usual Android 4.1.2 features like Project Butter which makes the UI as smooth as, well, butter. And of course, it adds Google Now which sends you the information you need when you need it.

The update also adds an extended battery mode option for the UI, a more stable Wi-Fi connection and adds the built-in HDR camera capabilities. Other improvements include a new lock screen and dialer and an improvement to the virtual QWERTY keyboard. Those who have already installed the new OS build are raving about the improved UI and the extended battery life.

It sounds like an update worthy of James Bond. Have you installed Android 4.1.2 on your Sony Xperia TL yet? Let us know what you think of it by dropping a comment in the box below.
