'Be inspired by my vision': Samsung hints at a new Galaxy S6 camera in a teaser video
Samsung is placing a sharp focus on the Galaxy S6's camera abilities in its new #TheNextGalaxy teaser video, just posted on the respective Twitter account.

We had a Samsung exec wax poetic about the upcoming 20 MP OIS module that will reportedly be placed in the S6, saying that "passion and dedication has been put into building the cameras for the release of our 2015 flagship model. It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button.

Word, now the only thing left is to obtain some camera samples and check what the fuss is all about, especially for low-light shots, which seem to be the stumbling block for most mobile phone cameras these days. Judging from the light-and-shadow whiff of the footage, that's exactly where Samsung thinks the camera on the Galaxy S6 excels. Fun fact: the camera unit sketch in the end of the video depicts almost perfectly the recently leaked renders and schematics of the device, so there might be some merit to those, after all.

They already have the best smartphone photography in the business during the daytime. All they need to do is improve the night photography.

Agreed. If they do that, they might be on par with Nokia.

"amazing pictures under any conditions" is all we need now from Samsung, cause in day light Note 4 is one of the best (and the best for the rest)! (http://smartcam.club/node/3225) Waiting Note 5 the trully beast !!! Adios wp (1020, 920 etc.)

Well, I just come back from a trip to other city and I was continiously taking photos from my 808 and note 4. Guess what? Exactly, note 4 won hands down in all conditions. I got a lot of praise from friends and got the question "why you purchased 808 when you have a note 4?"

The pictures will be great until the glass over the lense is scratched to hell because of the ridiciulous camera protrusion.

While i don't like the protruding camera on Galaxy phones, i never had any problem with them getting scratched what so ever, and i never cover my phone with a case. Just checked my Note 4, and nope, no scratches.

Granted i use a case, but yeah, no scratches. I did have a little piece of plastic covering on it for 18 months though.. the little cover it comes with... couldn't get it off until my pocket got it off for me

You don't know that. Just wait and see what DxO mark say about them. DxO mark verdict is the best in the industry.

Sony PHONES? Probably. Sony can't make software worth s**t. However, most phone manufacturers use Sony camera's, Samsung being the only one who doesn't that I can think of off of my head.

I'll be looking forward to the low light shots as well, especially with the bump to 20 mega pixels.

Improve Low Light performance, Make OIS a little better than the Note 4 and have the image quality without over sharperning and take my money! It would be Awesome. I dont care about the Increase of Megapixels as 16 MP is fine.

how cool is that note 4 beat the ip6+ and a DSLR in the blind comparison , just imagine what the s6`s 20mp camera will do
