Asus Transformer ICS update delayed to as late as March
Yeah, we get it. The Asus Transformer Prime and its quad-core processor is the superstar of the Asus tablet fleet. So when it comes to Ice Cream Sandwich, of course that tablet would be first in line to receive it. But that doesn't mean that the Asus Eee Pad Transformer has to be treated this way! The last news we had heard about the Android 4.0 update for the tablet that preceded the Transformer Prime was that it would be this month. To be more precise, the update was penciled in for the middle of February. But alas, this is why man created pencils with erasers.

Thanks to the shortage of days in February, we have now gone past the middle of the month with no word on the Android 4.0 update for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. That is, until now. Asus Singapore is saying that the Android 4.0 update will come to the TF101 (the model number for the tablet) in a February/March timeframe. The update will be sent out via FOTA as soon as a date for it is arrived at. As for the reason behind the delay, no one at Asus appears to be talking.

The message ended with Asus Signapore thankful for "your patience and understanding in this matter." They do have both your patience and understanding, right?
