Artemis - HTC's first GPS-enabled phone

The HTC Artemis is the HTC Artimes Qtek G200 we've reported about, back in November 2005. This time some more details and specifications about the device are revealed and as it can be seen the design is slightly changed. The first GPS-enabled Pocket PC phone by HTC is a quad-band GSM/EDGE device and it sports a 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen, 2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi support and microSD slot for memory extension. The handset has a unique mini-trackball instead of the standard d-pad, as well as four shortcut buttons around it. Other features and specifications of the new Pocket PC phone include:

  • 128MB ROM, 64 MB RAM
  • TI OMAP 850 CPU at 200 MHz
  • Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 for PocketPCs
  • Bluetooth
  • FM Radio
  • Mini USB 1.1

The HTC Atremis is expected to be launched by the end of Q3 2006.
