Apple to hold event on March 9th in San Francisco; Apple Watch expected to be the topic

Apple has sent out invitations for an event to be held March 9th in San Francisco. The title of the event is "Spring forward," a reference to Daylight Savings Time which begins the day before. This clue leads us to believe that the Apple Watch will be the focus of the event, which will take place at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater. This is a venue used before by the tech titan to introduce new versions of the Apple iPhone and Apple iPad.

Apple originally unveiled its smartwatch in September at the time the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus were introduced. While no launch date for the smartwatch has been announced, Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that the device won't launch before April. Additionally, Apple Store employees are said to be in training for the release of the timepiece.

It is hoped that Apple will reveal a launch price for the Watch at the event along with pricing for the mid-range and high-end versions of the device. Apple has said that the entry-level Apple Watch Sport will start at $349.
