Apple iPad 5 will be more compact, coming with less side bezel

The Apple iPad 5 will come with a screen with thinner side bezel. Images of the front panel of the upcoming fifth generation Apple tablet have leaked out and they clearly show the reduced borders on the side.

The leaked pictures don’t really show anything else new. The same round cutout for the home button is there and a front facing camera sits on top.

Apple device components have leaked out extensively over the last few weeks, and there is too much smoke for there not to be a fire. In other words, it seems likely that all those rumors have something to do with the reality of the situation and Apple is indeed preparing a massive refresh of its whole mobile portfolio this fall.

Apple is expected to unveil a new iPhone or iPhones (the iPhone 5S and the plastic iPhone 5C) on September 10th, and expectations are that a new iPad and iPad mini will launch in time for the Holiday shopping season.
