Apple Music subscribers can now gift one free month of service to friends
Apple Music recently announced it has more than 50 million paid subscribers, still behind Spotify's nearly 100 million Premium customers. Even so, Apple is doing everything it can to convince people that its music streaming service is at least just as good as Spotify's.
After offering 3-month free trials to previous subscribers, 9to5mac reports Apple is now giving away more free months to those who might or might not have tried its music streaming service.
Apparently, Apple is now sending notifications to Music subscribers letting them know they can send a referral to their friends who aren't subscribers. If that person has already used a 3-month free trial, they will receive an extra 1-month of Apple Music.
However, your friends who have never used any free trials will be given no less than 4 months of free Apple Music service. After your free trial runs out, you'll have to pay $9.99 per month if you want to continue to remain an Apple Music subscriber.
