Angry Birds Epic: Player vs player available now for iOS and Android

Rovio has another installment ready for the Angry Birds franchise, and this time it is not simply about defeating the physics of the pigs. Now, with Angry Birds Epic, you can wage a battle of skills against other players.

Angry Birds Epic was already a departure from the traditional gameplay which made use of an industrial strength slingshot. Now, it evolves further with an update that brings a new player-versus-player aspect, mano-a-mano, aves-versus-aves.

That’s right, this battle is for the birds as the pigs sit this match out, get out the popcorn, and watch the turn-based action. There is a league system too, so the more you protect your banner while destroying that of your opponent, the quicker you climb the rankings.

On December 21st, another update will bring a holiday season motif to Angry Birds Epic. The player-versus-player update is available in iTunes, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore.  The Windows Phone version of the game is not yet updated.
