Android to get its own, official Facebook app?
BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile, Palm and Sony Ericsson owners are able to make use of official apps allowing acess to their Facebook profiles. It´s probably because of the strained relationship between Google and the popular social network that Android-powered devices have been neglected, so customers need to shell out for alternative apps like Bloo or Babbler. Perhaps, this is soon to change though, since a Facebook app icon has appeared on the official myTouch 3G website (an HTC Magic spinoff offered on T-Mobile in the US) as well as in a video that reveals the personalized Android interface of the Sony Ericsson Rachael. The social network hasn´t confirmed anything yet, but we hope the app becomes available on Android Market soon.
