Android 2.1 update for the Motorola CLIQ is definitely coming
For what seems to be an eternity, rapidly aging Motorola CLIQ handset owners are still dreaming away the day when they'll finally get the opportunity of experiencing all of the joys with Android 2.1 Eclair. Although the CLIQ was released roughly the same time as the Motorola DROID, it hasn't been on the receiving end when it comes down to timely software updates.

However, a leaked communication to T-Mobile employees show that the long awaited Android 2.1 update for the Motorola CLIQ is indeed coming – and not simply a myth. It looks like T-Mobile employees are ready to begin training on November 7th, which points to the possibility that the update will land approximately a week later.

Naturally, the leaked image indeed shows that the Android 2.1 update is for real and definitely coming. With this one though, it's speculated to require 30MB of internal storage and an additional 100MB on your microSD card – so it's not going to be an OTA process. It's said to take roughly an hour to complete through a computer, but at least it's coming.

Needless to say Motorola CLIQ owners have their fingers crossed, but since they've been waiting all of this time, we're sure they'll be happy with the eventual outcome.
