Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is another selfie-centric smartphone

Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is another selfie-centric smartphone
Alcatel today announced a brand new Android smartphone called OneTouch Flash 2. As we told you last month, this is a successor to the Alcatel One Touch Flash from 2014 - though it's smaller than its predecessor.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 sports a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, and is powered by a 64-bit, octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. Other features: LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space, microSD card support, and a 3000 mAh battery.

The new handset has a 5 MP front-facing camera (dubbed "Profie Cam" by Alcatel) with a soft LED flash and gesture controls, plus a 13 MP rear camera with a Samsung ISOCELL sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and phase detection auto focus. The green ring that surrounds the rear camera doesn't have any purpose other than being green - which Alcatel says is the new color of the OneTouch Flash family.

Needless to say, the OneTouch Flash 2 won't be expensive, though Alcatel has yet to announce its exact price. For the beginning, starting later this month, the new smartphone will be available in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

How much would you pay for the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2?

Price it at around ~$160 and you got yourself a decent mid range phone with a Samsung ISOCELL sensor.

i am the proud owner of Alcatel OneTouch Flash Plus. damn!!! this is the best smartphone i've ever had. brilliant gold premium design and materials. Insanely powerful performance with Mediatek octa core and Mali T760 mp2 gpu, which handle all graphically demanding games perfectly. Amazing selfie front facing camera and great video recording quality. Awesome headset from Alcatel, good bass and sound quality. smooth and easy to learn UI. Fast LTE connectivity. And amazingly, it only costs around $160. Trust me, Xiaomi Redmi 2 is nothing compared to this Alcatel smartphone. Ive already tried Redmi 1S and i dont feel the need to try the secong gen model. However, Alcatel Flash 2 is probably not as great as my Flash Plus. But it is still better than Redmi 2, esp. in terms of specs. You will not regret it if you buy Alcatel smartphones. Even TheVerge and many famous reviewers on YT love Alcatel smartphones, esp Alcatel Idol 3. They said that this Alcatel smartphone is the best budget smartphone on the market.
