Adobe Connect Pro shows the iPhone can handle Flash… in a way
Adobe has launched Acrobat Connect Pro Mobile for the iPhone. If you don’t know what it does, let us tell you: Connect Pro Mobile allows you to connect to web conferences with your iPhone, and this includes sharing of video, text chat, and VoIP streaming. As you see, it is entirely designed to answer the needs of business customers and we feel that the numerous business people that also happen to be iPhone users will be thankful to Adobe for this. Now the interesting thing about Adobe’s Connect Pro is that it actually utilizes Flash, in order to work. How does it happen? Adobe has used its special Packager converter tool in Flash Professional 5 beta in order to have it working on the iPhone. While the Connect Pro service will not really be of any use to the common consumer, it does a good job at showing how the Packager tool can be used by developers to originally create their apps in Flash and then convert them for the iPhone OS.
